If you find yourself in the Eastern Massachusetts (US) area as April springs into May, be sure to treat yourself to one or more performances of the many gifted Canadian musicians who are coming together in the first tour of "The Maple League". There'll be many opportunities to hear some favorite people who are also great songwriters, singers, and instrumentalists. On Saturday, May 1st, "The Maple League" will team up with some of this region's finest musicians in The Great City of Waltham, MA. for Music Fest '99 , a splendid concert to benefit the Mary Eagan Memorial Fund . (The fund is for the creation of a Patio and Garden area for Cancer Patients at the Deaconess-Waltham Hospital). The 1999 "Maple Leaguers" include: Bill Bourne, Beth Ferguson,

When not interviewing top-shelf touring musicians, Joan can be heard playing a good share of Ferron, Bruce Cockburn, and The Wyrd Sisters right in there with Dar Williams, Annie Gallup, and Catie Curtis. Suzie Vinnick flies in to join Bill and Rick as they play individually and collectively with their good friend from this area, John Fitzsimmons. John is a regular musical host to our visiting musicians, and a great guy. The mood is always festive at the Sit 'N Bull.

No tour of this region could be complete for Bill without playing for his longtime friend and Club Passim booking manager Tim Mason.
