2nd Annual Country Music Show and Dance
What a hoppin' night it was at the 2nd Annual Country Music Show and Dance at the Renfrew Armory to benefit a future healing garden at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital.
MC'ed by 2010 Ottawa Valley Country Music Hall of Fame inductee Charlie Kitts, footstomping fiddling and sweet serenading were offered by Kelli Trottier with The Mushy Peas, and The Countrymen, a staple of country music in the Ottawa Valley for four decades. Nice to hear two generations of Johnsons in father Bob and daughter Jennifer.
Thanks to the dedicated Renfrew committee led by Chairman Darrell Mooney, and a special thanks to Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation Development Director Barb Desilets. Ah, Renfrew, sure feels like home.
