Music Fest '99: Mary Eagan Memorial Benefit Concert

The Third Annual Musical Tribute to Mary Eagan was be held Saturday, May 1st, 1999 at the great-place-to-hear-music Robinson Auditorium, Waltham High School, Waltham, MA, USA. All proceeds from the concert and sales of the "Family, Friends, and Neighbors" compilation were donated to the "Mary Eagan Memorial Fund" at the Deaconess-Waltham Hospital towards development of a Patio/Garden area for the comfort and solace of inpatients unfortunate to be enduring agonizing illnesses and ailments.

Featured performers, in alphabetical order:

  • Bill Bourne – Edmonton, Alberta, Canada's Juno award winning gifted and soulful musician. Bill will replace your anxieties with bountiful spirit with his moving songs.
  • Beth Ferguson – From Ottawa, Ontario, Canada (via Renfrew, ON), Beth captivates audiences with gorgeous singing of her her exquisitely-written songs.
  • Ellen Epstein – From Lexington, MA, Ellen sweet voice sets a warm-smiled tone for the audience. She is also well regarded for her live and recorded collaborations with Cindy Kallet and Michael Cicone.
  • Rick Fines – Peterborough, Ontario, Canada's my-kinda songwriter and guitar player par excellence. Rick will also serve as onstage music host. (This 1998 Maple Blues Acoustic Act of the year is a three-year concert participant!)
  • Lori McKenna – Stoughton, MA. WUMB 91.9 FM radio's 1998 New Artist of the Year. Lori's gripping voice, spirit, and words will embrace you on your way to embracing them.
  • Kerri Powers – Whitman, MA. Blackthorne Tavern, Club Passim, and Johnny D's regular, Kerri has tremendous vocal range as well as outstanding guitar-playing dexterity.
  • Suzie Vinnick – Toronto, ON, Canada (via Ottawa, ON, and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan). Suzie, who has a "voice of spun gold and honey" (Access Magazine), was the first performer to to enjoin in the Patio project three years ago. Wait'll you hear her sing!
