In 2011, Terry Eagan of Patio Records presented one of many fabulous Healing Garden Benefit Concerts, this one at the St. Jacob's Country Playhouse in East Waterloo, Ontario. Among the performers on the roster for that evening were Allison Lupton, and Rosemary Phelan, and Tannis Slimmon. During the pre-show rehearsal, Terry asked if Allison, Tannis, and Rosemary might be willing to perform a song together for the event. What a delightful idea; of course they were! But the women had never sung together before, and some lighthearted scrambling and learning of parts ensued. The next night, the trio performed Allison's lovely a capella song "One More Day," and it was pure magic. In that moment, though they didn't know it yet, The Lucky Sisters were born.

Over the next three years, each of the artists invited the other two to add their voices to new recordings in progress. Clearly a connection had been felt! During the most recent of these collaborations, the three singers once again performed "One More Day," which would go on to become the final track on Allison's beautiful 2014 album, "Half My Heart." At one point during the recording process, Allison commented, "I feel so lucky to have you both here!" To which Tannis and Rosemary responded in unison, "We feel so lucky to BE here!" Laughter ensued as someone exclaimed, "We're all just so lucky--The Lucky Sisters!"

In late 2014, Terry Eagan made a second request of Tannis, Allison, and Rosemary, this time for an entire album. "The Lucky Sisters" became a bona fide trio, or rather a quintet, along with our Lucky Brothers, executive producer Terry and producer Paul Mills. How lucky can we get? Watch for the album in 2015!

Angela Simonelli is the singer/songwriter for budding Boston band, Heartbreak Hill. - He joined CBC Radio, Canada's national public radio network in 1972 as a music producer and later moved over to the Radio Drama department as producer and executive producer

- Paul Mills has been part of the Canadian folk music scene and recording industry for over forty years.

- He has produced over 150 albums working with artists such as the late Stan Rogers (all but one of Rogers’ albums were produced by Mills), Sharon, Lois and Bram, Terry Kelly, Ron Hynes and John Allan Cameron.

- He is a founding partner of the Borealis Recording Company.

- He owns and operates his own production company and recording studio called The Millstream in Toronto.
