MusicFest 2003

On this monsoonlike night, the audience was mightily warmed with some of the finest writing, singing, and playing this side of, well, anywhere! Bill Bourne drove all the way from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, winning the furthest commute award. Guelph, Ontarions, James Gordon and Sandy Horne doubled as headliners and accompanists. Annie Gallup arrived from Ann Arbor, Michigan to spellbind with her words and delivery. Louise Taylor delivered her wide range of rhytmic and gripping songs (not to mention her "June Taylor Dancing" during the encore! When not serving as host/MC, Scott Alarik presented his boomingly-fine renditions of traditional and original songs. Featured accompanists were Matt Leavenworth on fiddle and guitar, and Richard Gates on Bass.
